The Lead Product Trainer - Jenbacher Engines provides technical product training and consulting services to customers, distributors and internal staff to enable them to operate, maintain and troubleshoot Jenbacher products in an efficient and effective way. He/she also contributes to continuous improvements and the developments of new training offerings and occasionally will support field service work.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Deliver all basic, mid and high level (e.g. commissioning and minor overhaul training) technical hands-on and classroom training courses in own area of expertise for international customers, distributors and internal staff
  • Drive improvements of training content pro-actively in close cooperation with the Global Product Training Center team
  • Create and update training materials, documentation and eTraining modules in cooperation with the instructional design team
  • Create a positive, constructive learning environment by applying contemporary adult learning principles
  • Provide excellent customer experience for training participants, bearing in mind their diverse backgrounds and cultural needs
  • Accept occational field service assignments to stay up-to-date with current JB product technology (commissioning and/or maintenance tasks)
  • Comply with all relevant guidelines defined within the INNIO Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Energy Management System (ISO 50001) 

Qualification Requirements :

  • Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or local equivalent (Secondary Vocational College or completed apprenticeship)
  • Ideally extensive years of experience with Jenbacher products; alternatively, a minimum of four years in a technical product trainer role in a similar business
  • The ability to clearly explain complex technical processes in simple terms
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills
  • Project management skills to support training project initiatives
  • Languages: · Excellent language skills in English, both verbal and written, Spanish is a plus   

Job specific knowledge:

  • Skills and experience in adult learning techniques and methodologies is a plus
  • Experience with live online training infrastructure and training concepts is a plus
  • International travel for up to 30% of the time
